The attorney representing the former Covington Catholic High School student Sandman declared in his defamation lawsuit against media outlets that tarnished his reputation last year on Thursday that four news organizations had filed petitions to dismiss the lawsuits and that all four were rejected.
Attorney Lyn Wood wrote on Twitter: “Petitions to dismiss @ N1ckSandmann defamation cases filed in Federal Court KY v. The New York Times, Rolling Stone, ABC, and CBS have just been dismissed. NBC’s proposal has previously been rejected. Gannett’s proposal will be informed of a different timetable and it is expected that it will be rejected in the next few weeks. “

NBC motion has previously been DENIED.
Gannett motion was briefed on different time schedule & a DENIAL is expected in next few weeks.
Sandman echoed the news on Twitter, writing: “Requests to dismiss defamation lawsuits against The New York Times, Rolling Stone, ABC and CBS have only been denied.”
